Telegram adds welcome messages and message buttons: what changes for channel publishers?
Telegram’s August update added private welcome packs and interactive message buttons. We look at their use for channel navigation and the limits of what they prove.
Telegram introduced welcome messages and buttons inside messages on 25 August 2026. Group and channel owners can greet new members privately, while developers can build interactive message flows. This is a follow-up to that platform update, rather than a new November launch.
Useful navigation for new channel members
A concise welcome message can point readers to channel rules, support information and explanatory guides. Interactive buttons can make a long information post easier to explore. The practical test is whether a reader can understand where each button leads before using it.
A polished interface does not verify an operator
These general messaging features do not establish that a casino bot is licensed, endorsed by Telegram or available in a reader’s country. A familiar logo and a well-designed welcome flow should not replace checking the operator and the exact bot username. Our casino bot guide and group safety guide explain those separate checks.
